Our Mission
The mission of CPC Pregnancy Resources is to provide life-affirming biblically-based resources to encourage informed decisions regarding pregnancy and premarital sexual abstinence.
Our Vision
Unplanned pregnancies and abortions will decrease as CPC Pregnancy Resources impacts our community with biblically-based services.
Our Philosophy
The purpose of CPC Pregnancy Resources is to minister to women and their partners. Our ministry focuses on the woman and her needs by offering her acceptance, compassion, accurate information and assistance in bringing her baby to term. We are here to help our clients to make an informed decision so that they will, hopefully, choose an alternative to abortion.
There is a prevailing myth that pro-life people only care about the baby and not for the woman. We realize the mother is the only one who can nourish and care for her unborn child. To help a child, we must help that child’s mother/father. If the community views our message as focusing only on the baby, clients will not feel safe about coming to CPCPR to talk, especially if they are considering an abortion, or have already experienced one. When we place our focus on helping the woman, she is enabled to reject the ideology that frames the abortion issue in terms of mother versus child. When we place our focus on loving the woman and her partner, God can touch them with hope; in turn, they are empowered to choose life.
CPC Pregnancy Resources does not intimidate or try to control clients. We do not show bloody videos or use scare tactics. Our staff is trained to give medically-documented information/education and to provide Center services. The final decision about abortion belongs to the client. However, we would never refer a client for an abortion. (The client receives and signs a Request for Services form when she first comes into the Center for an appointment. This form informs her that the CPCPR neither performs nor refers for abortion.)
We want our clients to know our door is always open to them. They need to know they can return to the Center if an abortion is chosen that they later regret and would like help with Post Abortion Stress.
