Saving Sex School Abstinence Program
CPC Pregnancy Resources offers Saving Sex, a school abstinence program. Our presenters educate students on topics such as:
- The benefits of sexual abstinence
- Steps to develop healthy relationships
- Risks of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases
- Emotional consequences of teen sex
- How to say NO to sexual pressure
We have a program for either the public or private school. Our presenters educate students about the consequences of premarital sex with medically accurate information presented in an interesting format. This program is designed to be conducted in segments that are taught in one to three class periods.
Students have responded that they enjoy participating in the learning activities that include demonstrations and skits. They report that they have gained new insight and understanding about sexually transmitted diseases.
Saving Sex can be scheduled by contacting our Moline office, 309-797-3636.

The program has been well-received by students and educators alike, not only because of the straight-forward, factual approach, but also the fast-paced format. Following each class, students are asked to complete an evaluation form that is returned to CPCPR. On over 95% of the evaluation forms, the students give the workshops the highest ratings. Here is some feedback from the kids:
What did you learn that you didn’t know before?
“That you shouldn’t be afraid to be a virgin. You shouldn’t be ashamed of being pure.”
“Symptoms of STDs—stats were scary!”
“All about the diseases and consequences of having sex before marriage.”
“Condoms can fail to protect you.”
What did you like most about the presentation?
“They gave good examples when explaining something.”
“We got to do stuff, it wasn’t just all lectures.”
“The way she spoke down to earth with us.”
Students indicate that they enjoy participating in the learning activities that include skits and demonstrations. They report that they have gained new insight and understanding about sexually transmitted diseases. Some of the most popular sections of the class are the skits about STDs as well as the discussions about how to say No when pressured to have sex--practical information for them.
